Jake Birch is a passionate creator who specializes in sound and technology. Having grown up the child of professional musicians, he shared his early home with a living room recording studio. At fifteen he entered the professional field at a recording studio in Manhattan. There, he composed music licensed to Fox, while also organizing cables and reading instruction manuals. He has called a handful of world-class, multi-room facilities his home, working in every role from intern to chief engineer and producer.
Formally, he was trained for 12 years in drums and percussion by the late jazz legend, Eddie Locke. After attending New York’s LaGuardia High School for performing arts, receiving a pre-conservatory education in drums, percussion, and general musicianship, he attended the University of Michigan’s BFA program in Performing Arts Technology.
Clients and projects include Talib Kweli, Cassidy, Fox News, Prince Royce, Joey Bada$$, Christian McBride, Roscoe Mitchell, William Bolcom, and The University of Michigan
